When you use Plantio, you may provide information such as:

• Plant names, species, categories, notes, schedules, and reminder settings.
• Plant photos and growth journal images you choose to store in the app.
• Optional profile-style details stored locally on your device, such as your chosen display name or app preferences.

3. Information Accessed from Your Device

Depending on the features you use, Plantio may access:

• Your photo library, if you choose to select a plant image from your gallery.
• Your camera, if you choose to capture a new plant photo.
• Your location, if weather-aware watering adjustments are enabled and supported.
• Notification permissions, so Plantio can schedule local reminders on your device.

These permissions are optional, and you can manage them in your device settings.

4. How Your Information Is Used

Plantio uses information to:

• Store and display your plant collection and plant care history.
• Generate watering schedules, reminders, and plant care views.
• Store photos, notes, and growth tracking entries.
• Adjust care-related suggestions using local weather conditions when available.
• Enable widgets, watch sync, shortcuts, and related device features.
• Support subscriptions, purchase restoration, and premium feature access.

5. Local Storage and iCloud Sync

Plantio is designed to store core app data locally on your device. If iCloud or related Apple sync capabilities are enabled for Plantio, certain app data may also sync through Apple services such as CloudKit.

iCloud sync is controlled in part by your Apple account and system settings. Apple acts as the cloud service provider for that sync functionality.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Subscription purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Plantio may also use RevenueCat to help validate subscription status, restore purchases, and manage entitlement access within the app.

Plantio does not directly process your payment card details.

7. Analytics and Diagnostics

Plantio may store limited in-app event data or lightweight diagnostics related to app functionality, such as plant additions, reminder actions, or app feature usage, to improve app experience and feature behavior.

Any such usage should be limited to operating and improving the app and should not be interpreted as advertising profiling.

8. Sharing of Information

Plantio does not sell your personal information.

Information may be shared only as needed with service providers or platform providers involved in app functionality, such as:

• Apple, for App Store purchases, device notifications, widgets, and optional iCloud sync.
• RevenueCat, for subscription and entitlement management.
• Weather or infrastructure providers, if needed to support weather-aware features.

9. Data Retention

Data is generally retained for as long as it remains stored on your device or in your enabled cloud services. If you delete the app, remove data from within the app, or disable sync, some information may be removed, subject to your device and Apple account behavior.

10. Your Choices

You can:

• Edit or delete plant data directly in the app.
• Revoke camera, photo library, location, or notification permissions in device settings.
• Manage iCloud behavior through your Apple device and Apple account settings.
• Cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID subscription settings.

Plantio is not directed specifically to children under the age required by applicable law to consent independently to data processing. If you believe personal information from a child has been provided improperly, please contact the email address below.
